Huawei is working on a wireless gaming mouse and pad with Qi charging
In addition to smartphones, Huawei also develops gaming equipment. In early June, the Chinese manufacturer announced the MateView GT, a 34-inch 1440p monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate. It looks like work is underway on a mouse for gamers too. WinFuture managed to get its hands on some photos showing the Wireless Mouse GT. As the name suggests, this is a wireless gaming mouse. While there are no specific specifications yet, the images are already revealing more information. The input device has six different buttons and a scroll wheel. The latter, like the front, is equipped with RGB backlighting.
The GT Wireless Mouse connects via a USB receiver (2.4 GHz) or Bluetooth. It takes snapshot via the front USB type-c port or by using Qi charging. Users can charge wirelessly with an optional 5W mouse pad.
An exact release date has not been given, although it should be "soon". The GT mouse will not be exactly cheap, with a suggested retail price reportedly in excess of € 80. It is not known how much the mouse pad should change from hand to hand.
Huawei had to switch to other businesses after being hit hard by the U.S. ban. One of the areas of activity of the Chinese giant is computers and related devices. It already sells its own monitor and keyboard, and may now also start selling a wireless charging gaming mouse.
We stumbled upon a Huawei mouse in the Wireless Power Consortium database. According to the listing, the input device is called the Huawei Wireless Mouse GT and has the model number AD21.
